Distribution and Marketing for Zurich’s General Insurance
Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) announces the appointment of Dirk De Nil (50, Belgian citizen) to the position of Head of Customer, Distribution and Marketing for its General Insurance (GI) business. Previously he held the position of Head of Sales and Distribution for GI.
In his new role, Mr. De Nil will continue to report to Michael Kerner, CEO General Insurance. “I’m
convinced that with Dirk’s appointment and the bringing together of our three market facing functions, we can best continue to become even more customer focused and better achieve our goals”, Mr. Kerner said.
Prior to his appointment as Head of Sales and Distribution for GI in May 2012, Mr. De Nil was Head of Operations for GI where he started to streamline operations in order to ensure excellent customer service and that IT priorities are in line with the business strategy. Before joining Zurich in 2008 as Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, Mr. De Nil spent over 20 years in the insurance industry in a variety of senior business and sales management roles. He holds a master degree in Law from the University of Gent.
